My Project
I'm excited to share a new project that empowers creativity in the classroom. Last year, my fourth graders embarked on an awesome journey of creating their own dragon puppets out of supplies they found in the classroom. However, we kept running out of the supplies! This project aims to provide our classrooms with a wide range of markers, clay, crafting supplies, paint, and other art materials to ensure every student has the opportunity to fully express their creativity and develop their own ideas without limitations. By gaining new yarn, scissors, tape, and other art supplies with new possibilities, we hope to ignite a new love for art and creating, while also fostering community through collaboration among students.
With the right supplies, students will have the tools they need to bring their imagination to life, whether that be during free time or during structured project time.
Art plays a crucial role in developing critical thinking and problem-solving. It also can benefit students' socioemotional learning by providing them the opportunity to express themselves. By investing in these materials, we aim to empower our fourth graders to explore, experiment, and innovate. This project will not only enhance their artistic abilities but also inspire them to take pride in their work.
