My Project

My students are bright, resilient, and eager to learn. Every day, they come to class with curiosity and excitement, ready to explore new ideas. However, for them to thrive, they need a learning environment that supports both their academic and personal growth. A classroom should be a place where students feel safe, valued, and inspired. That’s why I am requesting essential resources that will help create a space where Black students feel seen, supported, and empowered.

Basic supplies like pencils, wipes, tissues, and band-aids ensure that students can focus on learning without distractions.

A clean and organized environment allows them to concentrate on their studies rather than worrying about missing materials or discomfort. An air-circulating fan will help regulate temperature, keeping students comfortable and engaged throughout the day. Chairback pockets will provide individual storage space, helping students stay organized and making transitions between activities smoother.

Beyond these essentials, I want to bring representation into our classroom through Black History books. Representation matters, and when students see themselves in the stories they read, they develop a stronger sense of identity and confidence. These books will not only inspire a love for reading but also introduce important discussions about history, culture, and resilience. Additionally, an instant camera will allow us to capture and celebrate student achievements, fostering a sense of pride and belonging in our learning community.
