Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Welcome to my initiative aimed at fostering a positive school environment an enhancing student engagement! At McKinley Ave. Elementary School, we believe that every student deserves the opportunity to thrive academically and emotionally. However, we recognize that some students face challenges that hinder their attendance and hinder their overall well-being.

To address these challenges, we are seeking your support for three key components:

Attendance Incentives: We aim to reward students who consistently attend classes, recognizing their dedication to their education. By providing incentives such as school supplies, pencils, stickers, and bookmarks, we can motivate students to prioritize their attendance and punctuality.

Counseling Games: Mental health is a critical aspect of student success. We want to introduce engaging counseling games and activities that promote self-expression, emotional regulation, and social skills development. These games will be facilitated by our trained counselors, providing students with a safe space to explore their thoughts and emotions.

Snacks for Wellness: Proper nutrition is essential for cognitive function and overall well-being. Many of our students come to school without access to nutritious snacks, which can impact their ability to focus and learn effectively.

Your generous contribution will make a significant difference in the lives of our students, empowering them to overcome obstacles and reach their full potential. Together, we can create a nurturing environment where every student feels valued, supported, and motivated to succeed.
