This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Securing funding through the Donors Choose project will undoubtedly have a profound and positive impact on the life skills development of my students, particularly given their individualized needs and low socioeconomic backgrounds. Sensory items, workbooks, and incentives included in my project are strategically designed to create an enriching learning environment that caters to their specific requirements.

Sensory items will provide essential tactile and experiential learning opportunities for my students.

These tools can help students with special needs better understand and engage with the world around them, fostering cognitive and emotional growth. Furthermore, workbooks will serve as structured resources to reinforce important life skills, offering a clear and comprehensive curriculum that addresses their unique learning needs. Using incentives is a motivating approach to encourage active participation and progress, promoting a positive attitude toward skill development.

By harnessing these resources, my project will not only enhance the life skills of my students but also instill a sense of empowerment and self-confidence, helping them overcome the challenges posed by their backgrounds and individual needs. Through these sensory items, workbooks, and incentives, my project funding will provide the tools necessary to equip these young learners with the skills they need to thrive in the future, fostering a brighter and more promising outlook for each of them.
