My Project

Our classroom is a diverse and inspiring space where special needs students and English language learners (ELLs) work hard every day to overcome challenges and reach their full potential. However, with limited access to up-to-date technology in our Title 1 inner-city school, my students often struggle to engage with lessons in ways that best support their unique learning styles.

A new Apple MacBook would make an incredible difference in their education by providing access to assistive technology, speech-to-text tools, translation programs, and interactive learning software.

These resources would help students improve their communication, comprehension, and critical thinking skills while making learning more engaging and accessible. With a MacBook, I can create dynamic lessons tailored to individual needs, fostering an inclusive environment where every student has the opportunity to succeed.

My goal for this project is to bridge the digital divide and equip my students with the technology skills necessary for success in the modern world. They are bright, determined, and eager to learn, despite facing obstacles such as language barriers and learning disabilities. What makes them truly special is their resilience and willingness to push forward, even when the odds are stacked against them.
