This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Despite the challenges life presents, the children in my class always make the best of it, with kindness, a smile, the best sense of humor, and incredible adaptability and grit. They face each day with enthusiasm and collaboration, determined to succeed. They deserve not only to be bilingual but to break the ceiling with the advanced gift of translanguaging, seamlessly shifting between languages to communicate and learn at a higher level. In our Title I school, where many are English language learners, these students show remarkable resilience, and it’s my goal to provide them with the tools they need to thrive.

Unfortunately, not all educational materials are translated, and this can create unnecessary barriers for them.

That’s why I need resources like a color printer, laminator, and mailbox. These tools will allow me to create personalized, engaging materials in both languages, preserving them for repeated use and ensuring effective communication with each student. With these materials, I can offer the differentiated, scaffolded instruction my students need to break through barriers and reach their full potential. Your support will directly impact these motivated learners, giving them the resources they deserve to achieve great things in their bilingual journey.
