This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My primary goal for this project is to equip my students with the necessary resources to excel in mathematics and succeed academically. By providing them with calculators, I aim to enhance their mathematical proficiency, foster a love for learning, and empower them to reach their full potential. I intend to create a dynamic and engaging learning environment where all students feel supported and motivated to actively participate and succeed in math.
By providing them with the tools they need to succeed, such as calculators, we can ensure that every student has the opportunity to thrive and achieve academic success, regardless of their background or language proficiency.
I work at a Title I school with a high percentage of English language learners. I also teach co-taught classes, meaning I teach a higher percentage of students with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
These calculators will be utilized by students for years to come in my classroom.
