Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As a dual language teacher, my goal is to create a classroom environment where my students can thrive in both English and Spanish. However, one of the challenges I face is a lack of sufficient Spanish-language materials. My students are eager to deepen their language skills, but without adequate resources in Spanish, it becomes difficult to meet their growing needs in the classroom.

To help bridge this gap, I am requesting a $100 gift card to Teachers Pay Teachers which will allow me to access a variety of digital resources designed by other teachers on the platform.

These resources are specifically tailored for dual language classrooms and will help my students succeed in their bilingual education. With the gift card, I plan to purchase:

-Spanish-language worksheets that reinforce reading comprehension, grammar, and vocabulary.

-Interactive slides and presentations to make learning Spanish engaging and fun.

-Culturally relevant activities and games that help students connect with the Spanish-speaking world.

-Lesson plans designed for dual language classrooms that integrate both languages and support language development in a balanced way.

These digital resources will be invaluable in providing my students with meaningful, standards-aligned content that will support their language development in both English and Spanish. Having access to these resources will help me create a richer, more inclusive learning environment where students can engage with the language actively, whether in class or at home.
