Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students have suffered a lot during their short time on earth. I have noticed that I need more tools to help them grow. Although I have created a warm and comfortable environment, they need more.

I request these items to help them process their feelings and comfort them at school.

The tools I have requested are invaluable; every Counselor needs these to help students process their feelings.

The weighted stuffed animals help kids when the students are triggered to feel like they are receiving a hug. I noticed that they all gravitate towards fidget balls and often ask to keep them. They put them in their backpack and use them in class.

The SEL book will be used for group work. I love the EEmotion Stamps, which kids with difficulty sharing can use to express their emotions. Fidgets are also used to help students share their thoughts and feelings. Taff even plays with fidgets when they come to my office!
