My Project

As the school social worker, I have the honor of supporting students with mental and emotional health needs: individually, in small groups, and during full class presentations. I support students with feeling seen, understood, valued, and helping them grow and heal from stressful or traumatic events.

I teach classes about understanding emotions, expressing them in healthy ways, communicating well with others, mindfulness, mental coping skills, and knowing when you or a friend needs help from a grown up for emotions or safety.

Having quality books and therapeutic materials greatly enriches the quality of care I can provide to the students at this school, and I can assure you all items on my list would be used to help children feel calm, safe, inspired, nurtured, and better able to more forward with resiliency and joy.
