This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Hello, I’m a fifth grade teacher and I’m looking to fill my calming corner with books that teach students how to emotionally regulate how they are feeling. I have used these books at home with my son, and they are amazing for teaching students strategies and how to deal with their feelings in a way that doesn’t hurt others.

My goal for this project is for students to be able to identify how they’re feeling, learn strategies to cope, and to be better able to handle situations in the future.

These books will be available for all students in my classroom.
