Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our school is a Title I school with heavy newcomers. Many of the students are English language learners who will benefit from a save room. They will get support from staff on a one one one basis. Which will give them a calm and private area to express and support their social and emotional needs. Creating a save room in our school is crucial, especially for our underserved community where students often carry heavy emotional burdens.

My students are talented, but they face challenges that can sometimes overshadow their creativity and focus.

We are requesting snacks and refrigerator, microwave, sofa and supplies for cheer team in which they can let out emotion threw cheering and support their peers on teams. These items are need to provide storage of food, place to warm food up, and comfortable seating. At this moment we only have an empty space with hard chairs. Our school emphasizes self-reflection and self-esteem—a critical tool for personal growth. That’s why I’m dedicated to providing a space where they can decompress, reflect, and regain their emotional balance. This will help with building their self esteem.

My goal is to give the students a safe place to express themselves with no judgement. Thank you in advance for supporting and believing in my students.
