My Students

My class is composed of low-income, second language learners, recent arrivals and resource students. They are eager, compassionate, and determine to learn their second language. My students are caring and empathetic of each other as I deliver circle time in the mornings.

My students need resources that will target their needs in this time of crisis.

I need to provide effective practices to my students and make it interactive, as well as immense discussion throughout our virtual lessons.

They need me to be able to display live content material, as well as model lessons in reading, math, and oral skills.

Participation is important for my English learners as they practice their oral skills, read live text as we track together, see their peers work displayed, discuss strategies and ideas as I write them down live. In these times, my EL's need support that allows them to have the content area to be displayed and they can interact with.

My Project

The use of applying social emotional learning on a daily basis in class is vital for my student. They will develop the process of self awareness, self control, and interpersonal skills which are vital for school work and in their daily lives.

Students who develop a strong social emotional skills are better able to cope with everyday challenges and benefit academically and socially.

They are effective problem solvers to self discipline, from impulse control to emotion management. SEL provides a foundation and positive long term effects on kids and their community.
