My Students

My students are creative individuals who are interested in impacting their world for the better. They are exceptional human beings who are concerned with their surroundings. For many of my students this is the first time they have had an art class since elementary school. They display an immense desire to learn about art in all its forms.

Epic North High School is an environment that focuses on enriching the social emotional growth as well as the academic development of youth.

Students are a part of the everyday curriculum planning and preparation for classes. I currently have two twelfth grade teacher assistance that work to help create unit plans and display work. This allows students to have a voice in their education.

My Project

The materials and supplies I am requesting will be used by my students to create art that relates to career readiness. Students will explore how to work with a client and create a public space that impacts how people feel though color and design. The rulers, pencils and T-squares will help students learn how to draw using one, two and three point perspective. They will also explore how the phsycology of color can effect people in different environments. The students will use the watercolor pencils, paper and brushes to add color into their final work.

Many of the materials requested will be used for other projects as well as dimensional drawing.

They will be used in sculpture projects, non-representational art and other drawing or watercolor painting projects.
