Today's children do not realize how much impact they can make to one's community. They think because they are kids they cannot serve others and will not be heard. I teach my students to see their self-worth and show them they can do a lot to help educate their families, classmates, and their community. And what they can do the most is to save lives. My students will research, and teach what they have learned about an emergency preparedness.
My students will be proud to help save lives as Masters of Disaster educators and community leaders.
Because my students are caring, and committed to be educators to save lives. They will see their important role and thrive their hardest to do an excellent job. It will be the first time they will serve the community and will realize their potential leadership skills and power of being heard.
My Project
During our school's Emergency Preparedness Fair, my students will research, and teach an emergency preparedness topic. Each student will construct an informative poster to display at this important life saving event. They will distribute emergency preparedness brochures to families from American Red Cross, and FEMA. Students will conduct a survey to help bring awareness of the need to prepare for an emergency. They will also conduct demonstrations on topics such as First Aid. At this event, they will identify themselves as Masters of Disaster and will educate their school community, community at large and families.
With your generous donation and support, our students will learn about Emergency Preparedness, teach what they learned to others, and help save lives.
Our Emergency Preparedness Fair, will be successful because our students will be impactful leaders, looking professional with their newly donated hard hats, and safety vests performing their service as Masters of Disaster. They will have the materials you donated to display what they learned to help educate and bring awareness about emergency preparedness.
