My Students

My students are unique in their strengths and challenges, its my job as their teacher to make sure they have every opportunity to be successful. My students love to learn and share what they are learning with their peers. Our school is located in the heart of Coney Island, a place where people come to enjoy the sun, sand, and amusement parks. We are a Title One school and 100% of our student body receives free breakfast and lunch.

Our classroom, their home away from home, is a place where I want my students to feel excited about learning and having what they need to be successful!

Each child should have the necessary tools for the school year without the fear of not having the tools for success. I am so lucky and thankful to have the opportunity to teach and grow with my new 2nd graders.

My Project

Having an Interactive Document Camera will allow my class to display not only books that we read together, but will allow them to share their work with the whole class. Lets take my students to a new dimension in learning. This Elmo will help to Skype with other classrooms. It gives every student in the class a front row seat in learning. We need assistance with time management and will be able to place a timer under the document camera to help with this. We will be able to take pictures of work shared in class to show later on to any students that were not present. As you can see the the possibilities are limitless...won't you help make this a reality in our classroom?
