Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students need these PE items to engage in active, structured play, which will enhance their physical fitness, teamwork, and social skills. The specific items I'm requesting—Mastering Math Dominoes, Pacific Play Tents Super Sensory Activity Tunnel, Plastic Hockey Set and Knee Hockey Set, and the Exercise Dice for Kids—will allow for a variety of exercises and games that not only improve their coordination and strength but also teach important healthy life skills like maintaining a good diet, fitness in different ways, and various skills necessary to perform different sports/activities.

The goal of this project is to create an inclusive and dynamic PE curriculum that caters to the diverse needs of my students.

By incorporating these resources, I aim to foster a love for physical activity and build a foundation for lifelong healthy habits.

What makes my students special is their enthusiasm and resilience. Despite limited resources, they approach every lesson with energy and a willingness to learn. These new materials will not only support their physical development but also provide them with the tools to succeed both inside and outside the classroom.

Thank you well in advance for giving my students in the 5th Ward Area an opportunity to work together as a team and teach them the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Our #1 motto at our elementary school is to be the hidden gem in Houston, Texas and Houston Independent School District.
