My Project

In any Montessori classroom, students normally complete a three-year cycle with their teacher before moving on. In our classroom, we tore down the wall between a Lower Elementary and Upper Elementary classroom, meaning I get to work with my students for six years.

I would like to celebrate the six years I have had with my students moving on to the Adolescent Program by gifting them individual watercolor sets, journals, and sketchbooks.

My hope is that as they transition to the next level, they will continue to keep their love of learning, creativity, and dream big. The elementary period is so special. Students love big work, develop a strong sense of justice, and are sponges for learning. I want them to take a piece of that with them, and hope they will stop back to share their art and reflections someday. Their journal can be a place to reflect on their new classroom environment, work through new adolescent challenges, and take on the world!
