My Project

Teaching Spanish in elementary school isn’t as common as it should be considering that Spanish is the second most spoken language in the United States. The earlier we can start teaching it, the better!

I have designed my Spanish classroom to incorporate a lot of discovery-based and kinesthetic learning in order to foster creativity and problem-solving to help my students get the most out of learning Spanish in elementary school.

Being a specials teacher, I don’t get the privilege of using a school supplies list at the beginning of the year to replenish the supplies we use for our learning. For that reason I have created this project so we can continue using our favorite type of coloring utensil (markers!) and creating projects to support our learning.

Apart from those basic supplies that can be quite costly, there are a couple of other things in this project that I have added that I really believe would enhance my classroom like the wiggle chairs and a couple of books celebrating diversity. These are items I’ve found myself wishing I had since the first month of school and that continues to be the case today.
