My Students
Our school has about 240 students who study from 3K to fifth grade. Most of them are African American and Hispanic children. Most of them come from low-income families.
They are nice and respectful when they interact with other people.
They smile at people when they meet people in the morning. Some of them are struggling in math and English, but they work very hard to overcome the challenges. It is my pleasure to be their teacher in the school this year.
My Project
We are delighted that we received 13 scooters for our students from DonorsChoose.org. Under the New York Law, kids under 14 years old are required to wear helmets when they ride scooters. My students are ready to ride their scooters to improve their fitness this summer, but they need helmets. They will wear their helmets and ride their scooters to school and in parks. It will be excellent fitness training for them. They don't have scooters and helmets at home. It will be their first-time experience riding scooters. Please help my students continue fitness training. Thank you
