Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Please help me provide the 4th and 5th graders at my school with a well-rounded music education through the help of Nuvo instruments. These instruments are adaptable allowing all students to have the opportunity to learn an instrument at an affordable cost.

Currently, we do not have a band program.

This project would provide our students with the necessary skills to transition to middle school band with ease.

Our goal is to start with a 24-person ensemble, which would allow 1/3 of the students from each 5th-grade class to participate at a time. This ensemble would take place directly after school for 30-45 minutes for one semester. At the semester mark, a new group of students will rotate in starting with fifth grade and filling in with 4th grade.
