My Students

A new music classroom needs supplies! Starting fresh is an amazing thing, but sometimes the little things are forgotten. My students will be coming in for one 45-minute period a week for music and I would love to have the best supplies to make every minute matter!

My students, PreK-5, are from various ethnic backgrounds in a Title1 district in New York City.

These students are amazingly talented, but sometimes there are some students who are difficult to motivate. The more interactive supplies I have to offer, the better.

My Project

I will use the dry erase paddles for formative assessments throughout lessons, as well as motivational tools to ensure 100% student participation. Sometimes students who don't get called on get discouraged or the exact opposite, students who know the answers are afraid to raise their hands. These materials create a less risky way for students to answer and for me to see how they are doing with the lesson.

This project will make a difference in my classroom because I believe that a comfortable learning environment is the most conducive to student outcomes.

Not to mention, students LOVE using wipe off markers! I look forward to using these materials in my classroom. Thank you in advance :)
