My Project

I have been painting murals with my fifth grade students on our school walls, but we are running out of acrylic paint. Our murals are very inspirational, as they involve multicultural, as well as motivational and anti-bullying themes. Our school is transforming into a beautiful place where everyone is welcome, supported and valued. My students have the opportunity to express themselves, paint their experiences, feelings and ideas, as well make an artistic contribution to their school before they graduate. In other words, they are able to leave their personal "mark" in the school they grew and learned throughout the past years.

By being able to purchase more acrylic paint, we will be able to finish this year's murals, as well as to continue with the painting of new murals in September.

Donations offered to my class during this year made a huge positive impact on my students' life. Such donations enabled us to explore new media and art making techniques, and be engaged in very meaningful and highly motivational learning experiences. Mural painting is one such experience that I would like to be able to continue providing to my fifth graders. With your donations, you can make this dream come true once more. Thank you in advance!
