This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

A class set of "The Disappearing Spoon (Young Readers Edition)" will significantly enhance students' literacy skills by merging scientific exploration with captivating narratives. The project will integrate English Language Arts, Chemistry, history, and Career Tech.

By incorporating "The Disappearing Spoon" into our curriculum, we aim to inspire students to explore the dynamic relationship between literature and chemistry.

The project goal is to connect literacy, scientific inquiry, and career readiness. Through project-based learning and hands-on activities, students will deepen their understanding of the periodic table and develop proficiency in ELA skills such as textual analysis, argumentation, and synthesis.

At Baldwin Preparatory Academy, our students are distinguished by their interdisciplinary learning and eagerness to explore the connections between academic pursuits with real-world applications and career opportunities. By integrating a cross-curricular approach with "The Disappearing Spoon", students can harness their curiosity, engage with complex concepts, and apply their knowledge to diverse career pathways.
