My students need portable, wireless and familiar hardware to use to advance their skills among subjects. They need 2 Lenovo Tablets. Our STEM goals include technology, peer collaboration and innovation.

My Students

We move! The "sit & get" is absent in our class! We move around all day to meet our own needs as well as the constraints of our assignments. As a STEM & foreign language school we need current, appropriate and familiar technology! Tablets will allow us to use apps that work WITH and FOR our curriculum.

Our school is one of diverse racial, socioeconomic & primary language backgrounds.

We honor & celebrate the diversity we have and work hard to reach the needs of all our students. We recognize this diversity and as teachers, we choose to work hard to find appropriate resources to the address the unique, varied needs our high poverty & ELL students need in order to be successful in our school & in society.

My Project

We work at tables rather than desks to support collaboration and have unique areas of our room dedicated to various learning styles, academic goals and material type. Since our school (recently) became wireless, we are able to use more portable wireless devices both in our room and outside as we explore academics in this way. Our campus is growing with STEM resources and this is one way we will also be able to access this important approach to teaching and learning.

Donations to this project will greatly enhance our ability to improve our skills in math, reading, science and social studies.

It will also foster the already tablet-savvy students to see how technology can be an emphatic learning tool as well as a toy while it continues to re-shape our society.
