Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

The students you will be helping are creative, engaged, and motivated to explore the applications of engineering. Despite distance learning, my students have already expressed their interest in designing and building projects that they've always dreamed of doing, but lacked the guidance and resources to do so.

Our school is located in Los Angeles in a kind, hardworking community dedicated in supporting their students.

Our students continuously give back to their community by participating in numerous community service activities. Because of our focus on Environmental Science, several of these activities have been with partnered organizations to help preserve and restore locations such as clean ups at the LA River.

By supporting our students, you will be preparing future engineers with the hands on experience they need to grow as critical thinkers and creative problem-solvers. This class is truly an incredible group with some of the most creative minds I've met. Their drive for designing and creating has shown me their dedication to grow as engineers.

My Project

These Arduino kits will continue to enhance our students' experience with electrical engineering. Students will not only be getting a chance to make their own circuit designs, but have a fun and creative outlet for practicing their critical thinking skills! Every Arduino kit will be treated with care by the students and monitored closely to ensure they are kept safe and intact. This kit has been chosen based on our students' desires to take a deeper look at the technology they are surrounded by. As we continue to advance and become a technologically-driven society, the need for our students to know the basics of electronics is growing.

With these kits, students will learn the ins and outs of LED lighting, display modules, DC motors, and more!

The best way to increase critical thinking is to put it to practice. With these kits, students will get the hands on experience they need to grow as scholars and become creative problem solvers.
