Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are hardworking, clever, and fun to be around. They have a variety different learning styles. The students benefit from various levels of reading materials and hands-on activities. Their determination and resilience make my job so rewarding.
I'm fortunate to share in my students' successes and help them overcome their challenges.
Ninety-five percent of our school is considered low-income and receives free or reduced-price lunch. The student body consists of sixty-five percent Latino, thirty percent African-American, and five percent Caucasian students.
My Project
I am requesting 60 accounts for TIME Edge. Our sixth grade students participate in thirty minutes of independent reading every day. This is a great resource when students are interested in non-fiction texts. Additionally, this resource can be used during Social Studies while learning remotely or while in the classroom. Content is updated weekly!
The electronic articles support the mastery of the Common Core Standards for English Language Arts as well as state and national standards for social studies and science classrooms.
Thank you for your consideration! Stay safe and healthy!
