Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This project equips my computer science classroom with instruments for making electronic music because music motivates students to learn about input chains, hardware and devices, power supplies, and analog and digital signals.

Students will learn to record loops and mix audio for live and recorded performances using the Boss RC-500 Loop Station with the Yamaha DD75AD Portable Digital Drums Package and the AKAI Professional MPK Mini MK3 - 25 Key USB MIDI Keyboard Controller.

Students will record vocals through two Shure PGA48-XLR Cardioid Dynamic Vocal Microphones and we will use M-Audio HDH40 – Over Ear Headphones for Studio Monitoring, as well as a Peavey MAX 158 20-Watt Bass Amp Combo for performances. To create seating for performers, we will use four 30 inch metal bar stools .

To teach students how professional sound engineers and production personnel keep cables and equipment organized, we will use a TORACK 109Pcs Pegboard Wall Organizer.
