I love how my students are always eager to explore new concepts and dive into hands-on activities in our computer science course.
They have incredible curiosity and a knack for creative problem-solving.
Conductive Nylon Maker Tape: This tape allows my students to create circuits, providing a foundational understanding of electrical conductivity and circuit design.
Bristlebot STEM Project Kit: These kits let students build mini robots, integrating computer science with engineering and mechanics, enhancing their coding skills and teamwork.
Solar Bug STEM Project Kits: By building solar-powered bugs, students learn about renewable energy and solar power, aligning with computer science topics related to sustainability.
Origami Circuit STEM/STEAM Project Kit: These kits blend art with science, as students create origami projects that light up, teaching them about circuitry and creative technology applications.
Wearable Circuits Classroom Kit: This kit lets students design wearable technology, merging fashion with electronics and coding, encouraging practical applications of their computer science skills.
Crazy Circuits Coding Kit: With this kit, students learn the basics of coding and circuit design, giving them a head start in computer science and programming.
Goals for This Project
My goals for this project are to:
Provide students with engaging materials that make computer science concepts tangible and fun.
Encourage students to explore combining art, technology, and engineering within computer science.
Equip students with essential skills in coding, circuitry, and sustainable technology, preparing them for future opportunities in computer science.
What Makes My Students Special
My students are exceptional because they are resilient, resourceful, and full of potential. Despite facing challenges, they show up every day with enthusiasm and a willingness to learn. These resources will enrich their learning experience and empower them to create a brighter future in computer science
