Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Students in my class come from various walks of life including economic and social backgrounds. Nearly 70% of students within our school are economically disadvantaged. Many students in my class want to learn all that there is, but have the weight of the world on their shoulders.

These students are so eager to learn, they never want to stop an activity to move on to the next.

Please help these wonderful students have the best virtual learning experience possible even in these difficult times.

My Project

Having an Apple iPad and Apple pencil available while virtually teaching new content to students will allow for a smooth transition to our new way of learning. Students are accustomed to having their teacher physically write on the board in order to follow along with steps and procedures.

Having this type of technology available to me during these unfortunate times will allow students to have some familiarity to learning giving them some sense of comfort.

The iPad can also double as a document camera which will allow students to view any physical resources that I may have which are not available to them digitally.
