ELA Success - Daily Journaling for Creativity and Mindfulness
Help me give my students supplies! I teach in a demographic where students cannot purchase supplies easily. I try to provide them with more expensive items like headphones and notebooks for their daily journaling. And we need pencils as well. necessary.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Please help my ELA/ELL classroom!! Students begin each ELA/ELL block responding to a creative writing prompt for 10 minutes. The notebooks and pencils will facilitate this practice. The writing prompts aim to increase writing stamina and foster creative writing. Students present their writings during class and share their experiences.
The individual headphones will be used for independent work.
This independent work can be individualized IREADY plans, EdPuzzles or audiobooks. The storage bins will house the notebooks and completed assignments. Our goal is to create an inclusive, restorative classroom environment where our students can thrive. Thank you for your consideration!
