Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our classroom is full of imaginative and knowledge-hungry students. More than three quarters of the students are from low income households. They all have different living conditions.

With all that is going on in the world, my students look forward to school.

My Project

After more than a year of online learning many of my students, especially my English Learners, reference our class anchor charts daily to help them with their work. Anchor charts build a culture of literacy in the classroom. We take notes in our journals, but posting anchor charts keeps relevant and current learning accessible to students to remind them of prior learning.

Also, it enables them to make connections as new learning happens.

These charts are used as tools to answer questions, expand ideas, or contribute to discussions and problem-solving in class.
