My Project

My students range from ages 4 - 21, all have a hearing loss, and are mainstreamed in school. They are capable of everything and anything but many feel isolated as the only student in their school with a hearing loss.

Reading and then owning their own copy of the book "El Deafo," a graphic novel memoir about growing up with hearing loss, shows them they are not alone.

After reading "El Deafo" students learn and understand about their hearing loss. Report covers to protect this project for years to come will greatly benefit them.
