My Students

My amazing kindergarten students are eager to learn, and excited to come to school. I have students who have attended preschool or pre-k, and others who this is their first classroom experience. I differentiate instruction to meet and maximize the learning needs of all 24 students.

My students come from families of varying backgrounds including differing socioeconomic status.

My students have a wide variety of experiences and it is amazing to watch these wonderful kiddos interact, and collaborate with one another daily. We are having an amazing year!

My Project

My Kindergarten scholars are eager to learn and are fascinated by animals. Reading about the life cycle and having an authentic learning experience are two totally different experiences. We are essentially bringing the farm to the classroom, and being part of the entire process. Our scholars, and entire school will be able to watch them grow and change for several weeks. This is a unique hands-on experience these scholars will ALWAYS remember. We will learn about the life cycle and a question will be posed... Could we hatch eggs in our classroom? And this is where the fun begins!

Students will learn about the life cycle, they will apply math and writing while predicting, researching, calculating, recording, and writing about the incubation process.

Scholars in Kinder will incorporate grade level CCSS in a fun exciting way! The clear top will allow the students to observe the process. Can you imagine the excitement around 21 days?!!

If this is funded we will be so EGG-cited!! This project will touch more 25 scholars and their 35 Big Buddies, this will effect our whole student body. Additionally, this equipment will also be reused in subsequent years.
