Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

This will be my first year teaching and from what I have learned from fellow co-workers about my students coming into second grade, they are loving and bright learners. Many of my students come from a low income household and do not have the resources to connect and learn virtually.

My Project

This school year will begin virtually. Our school district does provide teachers and students online programs and resources to use virtually to help with learning. If I want this to be an effective year for my students who are working on improving math skills and writing skills and learning new things daily, I will need the extra supplies. Students will use the double sided lap boards for writing out math problems and working them to the end, they will also need it for reading and writing. The mead journal books will come in handy to help and guide my students as they write in their journals. This will also help with penmanship of writing and the hand motion. With the special notebook and lap boards this will help me work with my students when they show me their boards and journals. I can read it clearly and also go over these subjects with them. The items on my list will help my students succeed in the new norm of virtual learning as well as once we are back in the school, my students will be continue to use these items.
