Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are an exceptional mix of students from all backgrounds and income levels. They are driven, hard-working and passionate about school.

Despite a historic pandemic, my students are motivated to excel now to reach their future dreams.

I want them to see how valuable an education is even in the face of adversity. They will be challenged this year in ways no student has ever been before.

Given that many of my students are from low-income families, I want to provide as much support as I can now to protect their futures later. This is essential that they still learn and thrive in spite of a pandemic.

My Project

During the pandemic, we have seen how important remote learning has been to the lives of students across the country. It is essential for students to still excel even when they can't physically be in the school building.

An Ipad will allow me to take my remote teaching to the next level to create and model instruction similar to the classroom experience.

My goal is that I can continue to use this not only this year but well after the pandemic ends to support student growth.

Overall, I plan to model instruction through websites and apps like Nearpod, Explain Everything and Desmos. Having an Ipad this year will allow me to be my best teacher self while remote.
