Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Using blue, yellow, green, and pink highlighters for annotating can significantly enhance the learning experience for 10th-grade students. Each color can be assigned a specific purpose, which helps in organizing information more effectively and improving comprehension. For instance, yellow can be used to highlight key facts or main ideas, blue for supporting details or evidence, green for vocabulary or terms to remember, and pink for personal connections or questions. This color-coding system encourages active reading, making it easier for students to review their notes and recall information. It also fosters critical thinking, as students must decide what information fits each category, and it makes studying a more engaging and visually appealing process.

In the past I have asked students to supply their own highlighters and it always takes away from the lesson as they either frantically look for them or slowly share them with each other causing valuable time to be lost.

By helping my students have a class set of highlighters you are helping them have a more efficient and effective class overall.
