Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

First, I requested 12 hexagonal soft flexible seats for students to use during independent or group activities on the carpet during reading and math stations. Students will be more engaged and comfortable while working on a soft floor seat vs the old hard carpet.

Second, I requested 24 dry-erase boards because we will use them daily for learning in all subjects.

For example, during small group instruction, students will use these to write words, numbers, number sentences, etc.

Third, I requested boxes of tissues because at our school we have to buy our own classroom tissues. Suburban schools ask parents to provide tissues, but our parents are not asked because many can not afford to donate items to the classroom.
