My Project

My third graders love games! They love telling me about the video games they play at home and get excited any time we are able to use games in class for math. Over the summer, I took a course to certify myself in the use of Minecraft: Educational Edition in the classroom to extend student learning. Unfortunately, this version of Minecraft does not work on Chromebooks. With these Amazon Fire tablets, I would be able to install Minecraft: Educational Edition and create worlds in the game to extend my students' learning in all subject matters. They could create circuits to light their houses, create art and build museums, create dinosaurs and fossil digs, create different landforms and bodies of water, and have endless amounts of class topics.
