Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I currently teach at the same school where I was once a student. This community and this school hold a special place in my heart. My students come from low-income families and all students receive free breakfast and lunch.

Regardless of their background, my students have so much potential and are just waiting for the opportunity to shine.

I would love to able to be equipped with new and creative ways to motivate and encourage all of my students to reach for the stars.

I want to foster a love for learning, so my students become lifelong learners.

By learning new strategies that authentically engage students in their everyday learning, my students will come to love school and learning about just anything. They are the future world changers!

My Project

I want to make sure I have resources to ensure a smooth return to the classroom in August. We still are not sure, exactly how things will be, but we know that learning must continue.

Education is essential and I am committed to do whatever I can to help my students reach their full potential regardless of the pandemic.

Books to add to our library and to integrate into instruction, are always a must.

A non contact thermometer seems like a must to double check temperatures as needed and to stay as safe as possible during these very unknown times.

Technology will be key and I think each student could benefit by having their own stylus to help make using the one-to-one devices easier. We will also need toner and paper to print flyers, worksheets and finished student work.

Laminating sheets and a machine to help create lasting resources and classroom decor that celebrates diversity.
