Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach Living Environment (9th graders), Chemistry (10th graders), AP Biology (11th and 12th graders). 45 of them do not speak english. One is for Bangladesh, I really want to incorporate her into the classroom, an planning to integrate to their parents in their education. I need several laptops and a LSD projector so that I can prepared my lessons using wonderful websites in their own languages. I desperately need at least 10 laptops and a LSD projector to instruct my students to those web sites while I teach. Omar

My Project

I will divide my students by their language of preference. They will have a laptop connected to a website in their own language. That web site is connected to other schools abroad that teach my subject in their own language. They all will be interacting with other students BUT the most important thing is that they will be following my lesson plans and that will be planned in advance. My school will pay these students for extra time. At the same time their parents will be fully integrated in their homework. My goal is that every student eventually take a computer home and engage in the process of learning science and english 24/7.
