My Students

My students attend a Title I school. This will be my first year working with second graders in my school. They are students of varying backgrounds and are developing as English Language Learners.

I am excited to work with this age level because they will highly motivated and fun!

I know although we may struggle with how a school is set up this year, we will still be able to make it a great year!

My Project

In the world we are living in at this moment, it is important to support students' from the inside out. Through the use of Growth Mindset Journals and inspirational picture books, students will be able to become more mindful of their feelings and actions. I plan to use Teachers Pay Teachers resources, such as interactive printable and digital activities, to create an environment that the students will be able to become more self-aware, self-motivated, and respectful towards others. They will work on setting personal goals, learning who they are as a person, and how they can be global citizens.

The biggest goal I have for my students is that they will develop a positive and optimistic approach to learning.

English Language Learners need all the support they can get and I have faith that in working to develop their outlook on learning they will believe and know that they CAN do it all! I am confident with these resources my students will feel supported and encouraged which, in turn, will help them make academic gains.
