My Students

When discovering new things, please don't say "I am just playing a game," for you see, "I am learning as I play a game about saving and learning on my iPad!"

My kindergarten students are a diverse group of children with their own unique strengths, preferred learning styles, and life experiences.

The learning styles and needs of my young children require tactile, visual, and auditory experiences. Incorporating iPads into the classroom will directly impact the learning environment by engaging the students in collaborative small group instruction, social studies, science, literacy, as well as student interventions.

My Project

By providing a personalized learning device each of my students will be able to work at their own individual speed and developing skill level. Implementing iPads as a learning device in the classroom will have a direct impact on not only the quantity of student work, but the quality as well.

Many children are lacking in understanding of basic economic concepts, there are several apps that have emerged that provide fun and interactive lessons about economics.

Instead of hearing that money does not grow on trees," students will learn about spending wisely through play with hands on lessons on how to manage their finances, understanding of wants and needs, as well as other economic concepts.
