My Project
I am a certified Orton-Gillingham educator as well as a certified Structured Literacy/Dyslexia Interventionist through the Center for Effective Reading Instruction. I have hundreds of hours of training that have allowed me to provide the most effective literacy instruction to those students who struggle the most. However, I am beginning to realize that the number of students in need of evidenced-based literacy instruction is much greater than anyone ever realized.
EBLI stands for Evidence-Based Literacy Instruction.
As a literacy specialist and dyslexia certified educator, with extensive knowledge in the Science of Reading, EBLI training will help supplement my instruction to meet the educational needs of all my students. Many older students need to move faster than Orton-Gillingham instruction and EBLI may be the answer for those students.
EBLI is speech-first then print linguistic phonics instruction. This type of instruction greatly accelerates student acquisition of reading and spelling. With the high number of students in need of effective, evidence-based literacy instruction, I must obtain as much training as possible to help those students who struggle the most with literacy skills. With effective instruction, all students can become proficient readers, writers, and spellers.
