Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My Pre-K class is comprised of 36 students. It is split into a morning class and an afternoon class. Our school is a Title I school, and most of my students live in a low income area and the majority of them live in non-English speaking households. They are all very eager to learn!

This is my third year teaching Pre-K and I absolutely love it.

I taught upper grade for 13 years and now that I'm teaching the younger students, I am amazed at how quick they are to learn and grasp new concepts. Unfortunately, there are always a few in the group who struggle to learn the basics. I feel that my teaching would be enhanced with an eBeam Edge and the eBeam capture pack. I would be able to reach all of my students regardless of their abilities.

My Project

I am requesting an eBeam Edge and the eBeam capture pack. The eBeam Edge would transform my whiteboard into an interactive white board(IWT). With this IWB, I would be able to present lessons to my students in a very interactive way. I plan to learn how to use the toolbox that it comes with that will allow me to access different educational websites so that I can create engaging lessons in math, language arts, and science. I would also like to learn how to use the eBeam capture pack. This will allow me to save any written work on the board to my computer so I can pick up where I left off teaching. I can continue working on the lesson without losing the work that I've been teaching my students. I would like to learn how to create interactive lessons for my students with the eBeam Edge and capture pack. My students in turn would benefit because they will have lessons that are interactive, fun, and creative!

Having the eBeam Edge and the eBeam capture pack will take my teaching to a whole new level of technology.

My existing white board would be transformed into an interactive work space. My lessons will be more engaging and my students will also be more engaged!
