This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As a teacher I am aware that all students need certain basic supplies to help them to complete their assigned tasks. However, because of their family's socio-economic status, they are often unable to provide students with the necessary tools.

We encourage our students to bring a healthy snack, because their lunch period is at 6th period, which is almost at the end of the day.

As a result we try to encourage them to bring a healthy snack that they can eat mid morning. Often, most students do not have any snacks. My co teacher and I try our best to help but it is difficult to provide for 30 energetic students.

I believe that with your support, we would be able to provide my students with some healthy snacks, pencils, erasers, markers, chart paper, tissue, a fidget game, and a Magnetic, Wipe and Write chart.

Many students suffer with allergies and they have colds in the winter months so there is a constant need for tissue. My students are very creative, and we encourage them to work in groups where they combine their strengths to complete their assignments. to do this we use lots of markers, pencils, construction paper, pencils, and packing tape. Many of our students are struggling readers, very determined but they are learn, hence the need for the fidget game and the Magnetic Wipe and write chart. Thanks again for your valuable contribution that will help to prepare my 4th graders to become tomorrow's leaders.
