Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are English Language Learners and haven been affected educationally and socially due to the pandemic.

My students are learning in two languages, and need my support now more than before because most students did distance learning.

They live in a low poverty area in the Bronx. Most of my students are struggling readers. They are struggling during this time of distance learning. We are happy to have them back in the building.

My Project

My students need an easel where they can use in small group or whole group instruction. An easel where students and teacher can write & wipe easily. Also, with a magnetic side will help students use magnetic letters to learn how to read and write words, An easel in our classroom will help my students share their learning in reading and writing. I can hang charts and posters to share the learning with the class and students will have it visually where they can go back and refer to it during their learning. This easel also has a tray on the bottom that can hold the sharpie markers that kids will be using.
