The materials and supplies that I am requesting for my students already have a “home” in my classroom. A small desk has been set-up for my students to use an “office space.” We need your help getting these supplies through the door and to their “forever home.” The printer will be placed on the desk and connected to the Chromebook. This will allow my students to work on their projects and print them with ease using the shortcut, ctrl+p.
The donations to this project will help my students’ projects come to life right before their eyes.
A Geometry project that would benefit from these supplies is our “Scale Factor” drawings. Students choose an image and enlarge it or shrink it according to their scale factor. Having a printed image is helpful when deciding on a scale factor and drawing their image to scale (small or large).
There are various Introduction to College Mathematics (ICM) projects that can benefit from these supplies. ICM covers various math topics ranging from measurements to Consumer Price Index (CPI). My students created their own recipe pages that included US Customary Measurements and Metric Units. We then combined everyone’s pages to create our own cookbook (electronically). It would have been great to see these recipe pages printed and put together into an actual cookbook.
