This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As a former counselor I now have the honor of leading PBIS Behavior awards for 4 schools in East LA/Boyle Heights area. I actually attended one of the elementary schools where I now serve as a district administrator. My goal is to create a Hawks store for each school where students will be able to trade in the Soaring Eagle bucks for cool gifts/prizes such as fidgets and motivational toys. As a positive reinforcer, we know how impactful a little present goes. The awards students will receive are designed to further their learning through math, science, or development of empathy.
