This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
The Track and Field Team at T-Stem is eager to start a great season. This year we have a great turnout of about 40 students but we are in desperate need of uniforms/warmups, as well as equipment and supplies. Our students at East T-Stem have been working very hard in preparation to the upcoming season and we want to send them out looking like winners. Most of all students come from a single parent and/or low income home, which is a burdening and discouraging when you have to pay for the uniform. Anything will be greatly appreciated. LOVEEAST IS OUR MOTTO
My Project
Students will not only feel confident on the track, but will feel more confident while in the classroom. Extra curricular activities and athletics are great ways for students to build character and responsibility. For the students, uniforms will help eliminate the everyday worries of trying to fit in with other students, parents will not have to deal with the financial stress of buying uniforms and coaches will have a better advantage with building moral and self confidence. If students feel confident outside of the class room, then their performance inside of the class room will be greatly impacted as well.
